About Us

Founded in 1948, The Joan Coulat – Sacramento Branch of the American Begonia Society is an affiliate of the American Begonia Society. Our organization is dedicated to the culture, protection, and appreciation of begonias all over the world. We bring together people in the Sacramento Region who are interested in the culture and propagation of begonias.

 

Many people refer to our group as the Sacramento Begonia Society, but our official name is The Joan Coulat – Sacramento Branch of the American Begonia Society in honor of Joan Coulat, one of our most passionate and longest-serving members.

 

Our Monthly Meetings are held monthly on the Third Tuesday at 7:00 pm (except November because of Thanksgiving week, and February which is our society’s member dinner) at the Shepard Garden and Art Center, (in McKinley Park), 3330 McKinley Blvd., Sacramento, California 95816.
